The Great Escape

Welcome to The Great Escape, a spacious 6-bedroom Smoky Mountain cabin designed to make it easier for family members with different mobility needs to vacation together.

Located in Black Bear Ridge Resort about 5 miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, The Great Escape offers a private hot tub, gas fire pit, game room, theater and seasonal resort pool access - along with accessibility features that make it easier for family members with different mobility needs to enjoy the vacation together.

ACCESSIBILITY THAT KEEPS EVERYONE TOGETHER

The Great Escape was thoughtfully designed so guests with mobility concerns can enjoy more of the cabin's amenities along with everyone else. A ramp provides access to the main level, where you'll find a bedroom with a roll-in shower, and an elevator connects the main level to the lower levels with the theater and game room.

A gated outdoor area also provides access to the hot tub, fire pit and grill. Please note that the elevator does not access the upper level, which contains bedrooms only.

ROOM FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Sleeping arrangements include four king suites, one queen suite, one bunk room and a loft with two full-size beds. Each of the six bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom, with an additional full bathroom in the game room. Additional sleeping space is available with a sleeper sofa in the main-level den and two sleeper sofas in the game room.

Two spacious dens give everyone room to gather together or spread out for a little downtime.

EAT TOGETHER

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals for a crowd, along with a separate drink refrigerator for extra storage.

Prefer to cook outside? Fire up the grill while the rest of the family gathers around the gas fire pit.

PLAY TOGETHER

Challenge the family to pool, foosball or air hockey in the game room, then grab the popcorn and head to the dedicated theater room with a large projector screen, surround sound and tiered theater seating.

Outside, relax in the private hot tub or enjoy the mountain air from the deck. Guests also have access to Black Bear Ridge Resort's seasonal outdoor pool.

CONVENIENT, EASY-ACCESS LOCATION

The Great Escape is located in Black Bear Ridge Resort, approximately 5 miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. The resort has paved, standard-width roads with no steep hills to climb, making access easy year-round.

DOG FRIENDLY

Up to 2 dogs weighing up to 25lbs each are welcome with the $95 pet fee. Additional dogs or exceptions to the weight limit must be approved in advance.

FREE DAILY ACTIVITIES

As a thank you for being our guest, your stay includes one complimentary admission per day to each of 23 participating Smoky Mountain attractions. Choose from favorites like Dollywood, Splash Country, Dolly Parton's Stampede, Pirates Voyage, Titanic Museum and more!

Complimentary admissions are per reservation, not per person, and you can use your free admission at multiple participating attractions on the same day. The benefit resets each day of your stay. Participating attractions are subject to change. Details and redemption instructions are provided after booking.

  Great place with a lot of room for everyone. Property was clean and comfortable. The location was also good as it was just far enough away from the tourist area but close enough to get there in a few minutes.   This was our group's first time staying in The Great Escape but our third time renting with S&D Properties. As of yet, we have not been disappointed! They continue to be hospitable and quick to respond. Management is always eager to help. We found this cabin to suite our needs perfectly! We especially enjoyed the theater room and having plenty of space in the cabin for a large group. This cabin is very close to Pigeon Forge, and you can get there without traversing the winding backroads. We loved our stay and would recommend S&D Properties to anyone!

  Wonderful , we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family of 26 people. We enjoyed the theatre room , and the hot tub and the game room. The elevator was great for my husband to use who has knee issues.
  We cooked together with well stocked kitchen appliances.
  Our location was great because we were the first house going up the Mountainside.

  Our group was made up of 10 adults and 7 kids and this place had more than enough room for everyone! We were all pleasantly surprised at the amount of space in the house - everything was laid out really well, allowing for most groups to have privacy even with a lot of people in the house. There was Christmas music playing when we walked in and a Christmas tree that really made everything so special. The location was pretty great, considering it only took us about 15 minutes to get downtown and it's the first house in the subdivision, so no super crazy hills to go up. Alexa was set up to give us all of the information we'd need for the house (wifi password, etc) and the property management team sent quick texts to check in once a day.

  We were a group of 22 ranging in age from 1-70 and we all had a great time! The space was clean and comfortable and close to some terrific Smokey Mountain hiking. We all agreed that we would recommend this place for large groups and we look forward to a return trip in the future.
  Kitchen is well equipped (except for cutting boards), the movie room is very comfortable, the game room has our favorites and the hot tub works great. The community pool is close by and we definitely cooled off there.
  Only thing that needs repair/maintenance is the swing set. It's not very stable, but the slide (which my 1 year old grandson loved) was fine.
  There were a couple of things that needed to be attended to when we first got there and it was taken care of within 24 hours. Bravo!
  Thank you Great Escape for a wonderful opportunity for 3 generations to be together again after a very long 1 1/2 years of COVID separation.

  We had 5 couples, 4 with handicap spouses so the elevator was essential. The house set up was perfect for us. We loved the back deck, whirlpool, bar stools at the kitchen counter for conversations/meal prep and the dining room table was large enough for all of us for dinners and game nights. House is close to downtown with lovely location in the woods, very peaceful. House is clean and kitchen is well equipped to meet traveler needs. The movie room was perfect for tv night and the game room was a nice area for some casual pool games. Overall excellent property for large family get together, plenty of space for together or alone time.

  We had a great time. Plenty of room and things to do. Inside the house and close by. Hiking, Cades Cove, shopping, mini golf and more.
